These pictures are from the Republic of Ireland v Eusaki - from the Vasca Region of Spain - which apparently is in the Basque part of northern Spain. The Irish Amateur's defeated the current UEFA Regions Cup holders three-nil with goals from Stephen Ryan (Castlebar Celtic) and two from John O'Neill of Wayside Celtic.

Malahide United was represented with the inclusion of winger Alan Corcoran, central defender John Lawlor and midfield dynamo Ray Whelehan.

Alan Corcoran started the match and John and Ray came into the game as interval substitutes. All three were excellent and made a full contribution to an impressive home win over the current European champions at this level.
Alan Corcoran and John Lawlor were presented with their international caps at a post match reception.
