The Manchester United Soccer School is currently
underway in Gannon Park. The U7, U8 and U9's have finished and
the older footballers are currently enjoying their Easter Camp
in the unusually warm weather for Gannon park!! Click here
for the Easter Camp pictures.
If 6 days of schools camp were not enough for
the MUSS coaches, they graciously gave their time on Tuesday evening
03/04 to Coach the Malahide United Coaches. We had a very impressive
turnout of 45 managers and coaches of all shapes, sizes, all different
skill levels, fitness levels and ages....

Paul wins the ball and knocks
Pat over......but with what?

This was a tremendous turn out by our managers
and coaches and proves the commitment of the club and our volunteers
to improve the level of football for our children.
Scotty took us through the Manchester United
philosphy of schools coaching, the warm ups and onto the various
stations. Most volunteered and wheezed their way through the evening
but there were some who took their managers role so seriously
- they stayed on the sideline and watched, as this picture testifies!

It was an excellent session and we were able
to experience first hand, the very positive feedback that the
parents and participants have been supplying. It made a change
for the managers and coaches to be put through their paces and
do you know what - it was a very enjoyable evening and was great
fun!
Many thanks to Scotty and his team from the
Manchester United Soccer School for taking the time to pass on
some of their incredible wealth of knowledge to Malahide United.

Sean Gaine also deserves a big mention and thank
you, as he has put in a lot of time and effort over the last six
months from the initial contact right up to and on to the last
day on Thursday.
Finally, thanks to those teams that vacated
the All Weather to allow for this training session.

Marcus shows the way...........

.......and Marcus again.......

.....and yet again, it's
Marcus. (Gordon, get a few lessons from Marcus - please!)

Apart from crocking his brother
Peter, this was Paul Furey's only other intelligent contribution
to the entire evening. |
