Under 15 Premier Squad Hit the Ice !!

For its annual Christmas outing, the players and management of the Malahide United Under 15 Premier squad chose ice skating in the RDS this year - we booked it for December 16 after our league programme
was completed for 2006. We did have another outing to that classic FAI Cup Final in Landsdowne Road between Derry City and St.Patricks Athletic on December 3 which everybody thoroughly enjoyed and so it was back to Ballsbridge again.

We travelled by train to Sydney Parade from Malahide and walked the short distance to the RDS - having 'laced' up, the lads took to the main ice rink ( no beginners rink for this lot) - some were graceful, some were cautious, others stayed close to the barrier for comfort ! But as the session went on, the confidence levels grew and I could relax a bit more knowing that it looked unlikely now that any injury would come to the lads !

After their exertions on the rink, the lads were hungry, so we headed for Four Star Pizza on Shelbourne Road where we got a delicious feed of pizza before heading for home again - all in all a very enjoyable day and once again, the lads ( smartly attired in their Malahide United tracksuit tops) did the club, their families and themselves proud - well done lads !
