5/11 - SANTOS
1:5 MALAHIDE UNITED
It was a cold frosty morning in Blanchardstown.
As some of the players were feeling the chill Ado and Simon made
us do laps, laps and some more laps. With our captain Sarah leading
us we could do no wrong. Within the first few minutes we had a
solo goal for Giggsy. We progressed through the match as a unit
with some good attacking play from Jimmy, Sean, Sarah, Niall,
Stevo and Giggsy all doing their bit.
To the fans delight Sean and Niall each scored
a goal and Jimmy twice got on the score sheet. Late on in the
match we had to defend for much of the game. The defence held
till the last minute of the game when an unstoppable shot from
Santos left the score 5:1 to Malahide.

Last sunday we played a friendly against the
under 12s C team. By the end of the first half the score was 4-2.
Before we went into the second half we had a talk with our coach
Ado who showed us his tactics for the second half.
Kev played well in defense while Killian played
well passing crosses into the box giving us chances. John put
in some hard tackles. We came back with two goals coming from Mark,
two from Sarah and one from me and Sean. The score in the end was
6-4 to us. We enjoyed the match.
Stevo was our captain for the day.

15/10 - Rush v Malahide United
On Sunday 15th October Malahide United under
12s D team played away to Rush Athletic in Rush in a Cup Match.
Malahide looked good even in the warm up (apart
from not having our new team jerseys) and with the best support
yet there was a great atmosphere from the start.
We got off to a great start with a fine run by James, finishing
with a screamer of a goal. We had just recovered from this excitement
when Yorkie lobbed one over the keeper who didn't stand a chance.
2 nil and we were looking hot.
Our defenders - Killer, Duffer Iano Freddy and
our goalkeeper Conor held off the opposition but despite some
great work Rush then succeeded in scoring twice. This did not
stop Malahide United and they kept playing brilliantly. At half
time the score was 2 all. In the second half we saw more solid
defending and great passes. Sean then scored another goal and
that was followed by a Rush goal. Equal once more, our team continued
with a barrage of shots and 2 goals that were not allowed (Offside
Rule!!). In the last two minutes Malahide United got a penalty.
James scored for the second time and Malahide United walked away
with a victory 4-3. Our away victory brought a big smile to all
our faces, yes even Ado!
Well done to all.
