29/08/05 - DDSL U7C enters the World
of Club Football
Roadworks and Yellow Walls trafic jams could
not halt us. We departed Seabury Church and arrived in Swords
Celtic at 6.45. Team structures were put in place and then at
7.00 on the 29/8 the ref blew his whistle. We had arrived!
We started at speed. Ross and Matt both scored
in our first match and everybody played brilliantly - keepers,
defenders, midfield, wingers and strikers! Positions changed but
everyone adapted immediately. The ball was passed from striped
jersey to striped jersey and plenty a thumping great shot was
made at goal. Here are a few pictures of that very start of our
club football careers.
