North
Leinster Development Squad
Malahide United girl's academy was recently
visited by Paul Smith, North Leinster Development Officer for
the FAI. Six players were selected to join an existing Under 16's
Fingal Development Squad, offering extra coaching and matches
against many teams, including the Schools International Team.
These players are Nicole Munnelly, Sarah Killeen, Claire Thornton,
Katie Slattery, Caoileann Mulcahy and Gemma Fitzpatrick.
This development offers an exciting way forward
for Malahide girls soccer, and it is hoped that many younger players
will also be selected in future squads, giving a higher profile
to Malahide players in terms of national and international success. |

The 2005 schoolgirl's
academy is currently in operation since January 2005. Training sessions
take place every Saturday until end of April 2005.The academy caters
for all female players at the age groups listed below: |

Football Friendly - Ireland 2:1 Faroe Islands: Some of our Malahide
United DWSL U10 and U12 players were ball girls at this friendly.
It was a great occasion and they were great ambassadors for the
club. |
