A very
tough season with plenty of drama, heartbreak, sensational individual
moves with teams performances that Des and I were proud of! It is
difficult to pick our best match of the season, but MY favourite
has to be (not any our victories or draws) but our cup match against
Belgrove in Clontarf. We were beaten 2:0 by this clubs U8 first
team but we all remember how we played and how they had beaten us
earlier in the season. The Swords Manor manager was watching the
match, as he would have to play the winners in the semi-finals.His
final comment was that he was glad that he had played us at the
start of the season and not at the end when everything that we had
worked at in training had come together.

Getting ready to march out onto Gannon Park with
the Malahide United Firsts.......which one of you will be walking
out with an U8 in 10 or 15 (or even 20+) years time!
KIDZONE VIP Evening - 31/5 for U8D teams.
Kidzone (sponsors of Swords Manor U8D) held a unique 2 hr NDSL
U8D party for Swords Manor, Woodlawn and Malahide United. Unfortunatly
St Mochtas, Belgrove and Skerries Town could not make it. A late
night out on the town for these 30 red faced, sweaty headed footballers
with a photographer from Fingal Independant recording the action!
It made a great change playing along side these guys instead of
playing against them. Thanks very much to Brendan and Ray (Swords
Manor) and the Kidzone staff for supplying the evening of energy,
treats and drinks. Good luck next season Swords Manor and Woodlawn.

MINI LEAGUES and SUMMER CAMPS - keep checking the links
at the side of this page for more details. We will text you also.
SUMMER TRAINING - We will re-commence one session a week
in the Castle at the start of July so that we do not forget all
that we have learnt. We will also play some full 7-a-side matches
with a mix from the other U8 teams. It
will not be possible to have all players at every session as some
will have to desert us to go on summer holidays! We will let you
know the start date sometime in June!
