Under 10A qualify for Under 11 DDSL
Premier
Playing for the first time under the newly introduced
9-a-side format the team did not have the best of starts in the
DDSL 10A League, claiming only 7 points from a possible 30 before
Christmas. With four draws and three of the games lost by a single
goal the chances of Premier football next season looked very remote.
However, with an early return to training in
the new year and with a target of 30 points from 10 games set
by the Managers we looked forward to a more successful second
half of the season. The players worked extremely hard at training,
turning up on two atrocious nights in Gannon Park, when we were
the only team training . During matches the players focus and
commitment was now 100% and with the unwavering dedication to
training paying dividends we started winning games against teams
that had beaten before the Christmas break.
A storming second half to the season saw us
take 25 points out of a possible 30 to ensure that a Malahide
United team qualified for the DDSL 11 Premier for the 2nd successive
year.
A fantastic effort by all the players, each
and every one of them. Thanks lads.
